8.Cash Bill

Image
.  Our father, a poor farmer, rarely visited the nearby town. But this time, he had to go to get a few things done. It took him a while to complete his tasks, and soon it was well past lunchtime. Quite hungry, he went to a hotel and ate. He helped himself to rice a second and third time, eating to his heart’s content, thinking that hunger is the best curry for lunch.   When the waiter finally brought the bill, he was shocked. He wondered if he had really eaten that much to justify such a high amount. He stood aside, looking at the bill back and forth in front of the cashier. Then he asked the manager, “Sir, is this really my bill?” The manager, seeing the innocence of a farmer, didn’t question it.

6. Drunkard father and son.

Image
We were all familiar with the alcoholic. He was not worried about his family. He did not value the tears of his wife and children. Years passed. His son grew up. The natives rated him only as a    decent boy. A good son of a shameless drinking father. The son tried many drugs to stop his father's alcoholism. All failed. It's just that the father's hatred for his son increased. One day the   father was drinking in the bar. "Bring me a bottle too" he heard a familiar voice from the opposite bench. He looked back. His own son was   the person who ordered the   drink. Father slowly got up and walked away, with shaken   legs.   He never drank again. The son ultimately   defeated his father.

5. Story of my honest dad as a witness

Image
So, you  are  telling  that you saw  the accused                                      lifting  the chair but don't know  whether to hit or sit? ‘Honest sir’ is the name given by locals because my father    always used d to tell the truth and truth only. Meanwhile, one of dad’s   disciples became an accused in a beating case. The disciple was an alcoholic. The case is that Philip, the vegetable shopkeeper   and his companion were beaten with   a chair while the accused was under the influence of alcohol. Dad   was the   only s witness. He was threatened by the disciple every evening when he came home   after a    booze. He should not say anything against the   accused. But ...

3.Chicken and prasadam , the Sacred food from temple

Image
I n our house, our mum   used  to have  a few  chicken grown  mainly for eggs for the children. She  was   very fond of feeding the chicken. In her   leisure time,   she used   to caress   them and   give them   food remains from the   kitchen. The   cock, hen and small   chicken   used   to get into our verandas and sometimes defecate on the veranda. On many days, we   woke   up hearing her caressing lovable words   to these   tiny birds in the   morning. Our   dad   on the   other hand never liked these   creatures but had   to   tolerate   with a grin.   One day   as we   woke   up, we   heard our dad shouting   at the   top of his voice and   was   unusually   angry. As our dad   was   a mild person who rarely get   provoked   or shout at   others,  ...

2.Twelfth Man

Image
There   was   only one vacancy for a teacher in the   school. My dad   also   applied for the   post. He   was   one among the   twelve   called   for the interview. Among the twelve, my dad   was the only   person outside   the   community that was   running the school. Till   then,   all   posts were   being filled   by   candidates   from their own community. Dad   had   little   hope   but was   not ready   to accept defeat without a fight. Naturally, he   was   the   last person to be interviewed. He   could   answer   all the   questions   very well . Finally, the   Chairman of the   interview board asked. So, you have   come here   as   the twelfth   man, right? Dad replied : Yes   , but   I am not Judas. When he   got the appointment  ...

1.Story of two cats, male and female

Image
They were just two cats. I rarely liked cats until that day. One fine day, they appeared outside our house as uninvited guests. I kept my kitchen door firmly shut to prevent them from getting inside. Even after two weeks, they remained near our house. Over time, during my spare moments, I began to watch them play in the open. To me, they seemed to be demonstrating a martial art like our Kalari Payattu. Both of them would approach from two corners, leap into the air, collide with each other, and fall down in a heap together. They repeated the same game every day. Slowly, I started liking them. I began feeding them kitchen scraps and leftovers after cleaning fish.   The he-cat among the two was very smart and used to eat more food, even what was given to the she-cat. Many days, she would survive on whatever he left behind. Whenever she approached her food, he would frighten her away by lifting one paw. Seeing this, I started placing their food in two different spots. But he would...
